pay per click (ppc) alternatively known as cost per click (cpc) is an advertising model where an advertiser pays the publisher, usually via an ad-platform such as google, bing or facebook, each time an ad is clicked.

media buying, refers to locating, purchasing and the acquisition of ad placements on channels for a set period of time.
